NJ HUD- Application and Process Help, Please?!?
I currently reside in Salem County, New Jersey, and I was trying to apply for the HUD Voucher Program for Rental Assistance as my wife is a stay-at-home mother for our children, and the area we live in isn’t the best place to raise children, but it’s income based and that’s what we can afford right now.

Anywho, we went to the local social service office and the HUD office, and they had said that the application is in the newspaper “sometime” throughout the month, and we just have to keep an eye out.

Does anyone else have experience with this? Is there anyway to narrow down the “sometime” to even “the last week of the month” or something? Is it different in any other counties? (We’re not all that attached to this specific county, we want what is best for our children)

We are obviously pretty clueless about this, and are just trying to understand a little bit more. So, please no negative comments. Any help with anything involving it would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

(I posted this in real estate as well as parenting because I figured that other stay-at-home parents might know a little about this, since living off one income is not easy.)
